Inspired by Claude McKay

Festus Claudius "Claude" McKay (September 15, 1889 – May 22, 1948) was a Jamaican-American writer and poet, who was a seminal figure in the Harlem Renaissance. McKay first won acclaim in the United States for his widely published protest poem, “If We Must Die”. He set many of his short stories and novels in African-American communities.
